Book Club

Red Hats On Fire

Together, as faithful members, we will pursue fun and friendship while kindling the fire of His love. We hope you join us for a variety of activities including service.

Bring your red hat and purple regalia (50-65 yrs old) or pink hat and lavender for anyone slightly younger (45-50 yrs old) to make important visible connections that will draw others to our cause.

Exploring Heaven

Explore deeper revealed tradition and understanding of heaven. Great theologians have pondered heaven, Poets and artists have brought images alive for us. Learn to see and seek truth, justice, and heroic virtue. Develop mature awareness of how we can participate in heaven today as Jesus Christ taught us, “Thy Kingdom Come, Thy will be done.”

Catholic Faith and Friendship Group

Our group provides Catholic teaching to adults with disabilities.  We meet monthly, focusing on growing in faith and friendship. We do this through prayer, catechesis and social activities.  We ask that a parent or PCA attend with the adult.

Mothers of Young Children

Mothers of Young Children (MOYC) is a small group dedicated to mothers of children aged 0-4 years old. We intend to help connect you and your children to other moms with young kids. This is a place where our children can learn how to socialize, we can ask each other for advice, and grow in our faith. Our meetings will consist of children’s oriented praise and worship, playtime, rosary, and prayer.

Every other week on Tuesdays,  9 – 10:30 a.m.

Suzanne’s Well Read Mom

Open to all women, whether they have physical children or not.  This group accompanies women in the reading of great books and spiritual classics to encourage personal growth, friendship, and meaningful conversations in order to explore the human condition and reorient ourselves to what is good, beautiful, and true.

Grandparent Social, Prayer and Service

We would like to meet Socially (play cards, hospitality, etc.), in Prayer (for fallen away family members, intercession, evangelization, etc.), and in Service (Feed My Starving Children, Prayer at abortuaries, serve Epiphany School, etc.).

Practical Apologetics

GROUP 1: First and third Monday of each month, 7:00 – 8:00 pm, home in Blaine

At any given moment we may have the opportunity to connect with people to share or defend our faith. Sometimes we don’t rise to the occasion for a variety of reasons. It’s ok, you’re not alone. This group will focus on helping people to become more comfortable having conversations about the truth of the Catholic faith. This is not soap-box debate training. We will discuss non-confrontational tactics, cultural issues, Catholic doctrine, and a variety of topics to better equip people for that next conversation. The next time the Lord leads you into a divine appointment will you be ready? Do not fear my friend!

Northern Lights
