In every age Christians have suffered for their faith, from the Roman Coliseum to the recent and ongoing events in India, Africa and the Middle East. What can we do now? What should we do now? The Holy Father asks us to PRAY.

In response to our Holy Father’s request the Knights of Columbus  have commissioned a Marian Icon dedicated to Our Lady Help of Persecuted Christians. This Icon is traveling around the United States and Epiphany has the opportunity to host it from Friday August 23 until Friday August 30.

A special Prayer Service to remember those who have been martyred and those who are suffering for being Christian will be held on Tuesday, August 27 at 6:30 p.m. in the Church. All are welcomed and encouraged to answer the Pope’s request to storm heaven with prayer to strengthen and support our brothers and sisters who are suffering for Christ.

Light refreshments and a social time will be held after this with an opportunity for some of our parishioners to share stories and experiences from other places they have lived.

Persecution because of being Christian is real. We must PRAY. Pick up a prayer card to continue to pray.
