Planning Your Wedding

Congratulations on your engagement, we are excited to work with you to prepare you for the sacrament of matrimony!

The Catholic Church recognizes that weddings are so much more than just the day. To assist you in preparing for a lifelong sacramental marriage, The Church of the Epiphany has programs to assist you in this sacramental process. Please read all of the information before calling to book your wedding as this should answer many of the questions you have.

You should plan on at least six months to complete the preparation process. This is also a time of discernment, learning, and prayer.

Weddings take place at 1:30 on Saturday afternoons, or anytime after 4 p.m. on Fridays.

The fee for weddings at Epiphany is $300 and this includes the organist/pianist, the FOCCUS inventory, the use of the church and the priest’s time.

Meet the Priest or Deacon

The couple will be assigned a priest or deacon and he will also begin the marriage preparation process.  At this time, he will establish the couple’s freedom to marry and schedule the wedding date.

Required Retreats and NFP Classes

All couples getting married at Epiphany are required to attend the Archdiocesan Marriage Retreat. Please follow this link to register for the required Marriage Preparation retreat.

All Couples are also expected to attend NFP Classes, here is a link where you will find information on natural family planning classes.

Please note that the couples can be reimbursed for the cost of the NFP Classes by submitting the receipt to the priest or deacon preparing them for marriage.
