About Epiphany

Parish & Community

Epiphany Church is a large Roman Catholic parish located in Coon Rapids, Minnesota.

The term epiphany comes from the Greek, epiphania which means “to show” or “to make known.” It is our mission at the Church of the Epiphany to do just that – to make Jesus known! As the Three Kings came to adore and to present their gifts before the Lord, so too do we invite you. Be part of a parish that has come to know the blessings of offering all of our time, talent, and treasure in gratitude to a God who has offered Himself to us.

Epiphany’s Vision

Epiphany is a community where:

  • You and I are welcomed at any phase of our faith journey.
  • We are nourished by the sacraments and guided through life-long faith and education formation.
  • We are joined by others in a common bond of service.
  • Epiphany will always be this community, life-long travelers celebrating our journey as we follow the star to Christ.

Epiphany’s MISSION

Epiphany is a vibrant Roman Catholic Parish lighting the way to Christ for all people through life-long faith formation, education, sacraments, service and community life.

Epiphany’s Core Values

We embrace the Catholic Church with its traditions and teachings that guide our parish’s mission and ministry. Parishioners experience an abundance of opportunities for prayer, service, education, faith formation, and community involvement that are in accordance with Church teaching and practice.

Matthew 16:18

And so I say to you, you are Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church and the gates of the netherworld shall not prevail.

We believe all people are called to grow in faith. We support this journey through an invitation to participate in our ministries, including our life-long faith formation, parish school and other enrichment opportunities for children, teens and adults.

Matthew 28:19

Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you.

We nourish reverent, faith-filled prayer and worship. Sacramental celebrations are the foundation of our parish. Our Eucharistic celebrations are the center and core of community gatherings.

Matthew 18:20

For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.

We care and support one another throughout our faith journey. We provide a multitude of activities and outreach ministries so parishioners may actively seek ways to be of service to others, both within our parish and the larger community.

Matthew 25:40

And the king will say to them in reply, Amen, I say to you, whatever you did for one of these least brothers of mine, you did for me.

We give our time, talent and treasure, which have been at the heart of our parish since its beginning. As Christians, we receive God’s gifts gratefully, cultivate them responsibly, share them lovingly in justice with others, and return them with increase to the Lord through tithing and service.

2 Corinthians 9:7

Each one must give as he has decided in his heart, for God loves a cheerful giver.
